    • Seeking Theta Mentors The Fraternity is looking for outstanding Thetas willing to mentor others.  We’re looking for Theta alumnae who are recognized authorities in their fields who might be willing to volunteer their time and expertise to the Fraternity. This volunteering could include mentoring collegians through online chat or making presentations via brief video clips. Desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, career advice (writing résumés, networking, starting a business, public speaking, internships), personal finance, personal safety, and health and wellness.  Details of how these women might share their expertise are still being finalized, but we’d like to begin building a list of potential resources in professions such as PR, higher education, and public service. If you know of a Theta who is outstanding in her field and would be a good representative of the Fraternity, please forward her contact information and qualifications (e.g. a website or a printed media clipping outlining her accomplishments would be very helpful!) to Bonnie Brown, bbrown@kappaalphatheta.org.

  • Hearts & Heels, our big fundraiser of the year, was held on September 17th, from 5:30-7:30 pm at Texas de Brazil located in Northfield Stapleton.  We raised thousands of dollars in support of the Denver area CASA Chapters and our Philanthropy Fund!

  • Congratulations to our Denver Scholarship winners!  The 2009 Denver Alumnae Chapter Scholarship was awarded to Haley McCoy for $1,850.  She attends Loyola Marymount and is a member of the Zeta Omega chapter.  The Josephine Brossard Stansfield Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Sarah E. Bonnet for $2,000.  She attend Ohio Wesleyan University and is a member of the Gamma deuteron chapter.

  • Advisors needed!  The Colorado college chapters can always use alumnae support, either on their Advisory Boards or their Facility Corporation Boards.  Please contact the College District President for District IX, Kelly Erskine, for more information.

  • Address updates -- Please send any address updates (including e-mail address changes) to our VP Membership, Andrea Autobee, at membership@denverthetas.org.  This will help keep our mailing costs under control.
