Kappa Alpha Theta Denver Alumnae Chapter

Welcome to the Denver Alumnae Chapter website!

Denver Thetas are diverse, energetic, and committed to our fraternity and our community.  Learn more about our chapter by browsing this site.

President's Message

The Denver Alumnae Chapter (DAC) is nationally recognized as one of the strongest alumnae chapters in the nation.  We have a strong membership and the women of the DAC are an AMAZING group!  From community and business leaders to philanthropists and fun loving women, this is definitely a dynamic and impressive group of women.  We are a diverse chapter with members just out of college to members who have been Thetas for 75 years!  Joining our chapter is a great way to network and develop new friendships and leadership skills if you so chose.

We provide a variety of activities throughout the year from monthly social programs, service activities, fundraising events, along with special interest groups like Book Club, Supper Club, and Nite Kites to name a few.  Some of our programs for 2010-2011 include: making blankets for CASA kids, a cooking class, a wine and chocolate evening, game night, our annual Hearts and Heels fundraiser, and the celebration of our 142nd Founders Day.

We are an active group, but you can choose your level of participation.  My first few years in the DAC, I went to one or two programs or special interest activities a year and now I’m leading the chapter through the next membership year!

I hope you will consider joining us, you’ll be glad you did!

Loyally,
Andrea Autobee

    • Seeking Theta Mentors The Fraternity is looking for outstanding Thetas willing to mentor others.  We’re looking for Theta alumnae who are recognized authorities in their fields who might be willing to volunteer their time and expertise to the Fraternity. This volunteering could include mentoring collegians through online chat or making presentations via brief video clips. Desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, career advice (writing résumés, networking, starting a business, public speaking, internships), personal finance, personal safety, and health and wellness.  Details of how these women might share their expertise are still being finalized, but we’d like to begin building a list of potential resources in professions such as PR, higher education, and public service. If you know of a Theta who is outstanding in her field and would be a good representative of the Fraternity, please forward her contact information and qualifications (e.g. a website or a printed media clipping outlining her accomplishments would be very helpful!) to Bonnie Brown, bbrown@kappaalphatheta.org.

  • Hearts & Heels, our big fundraiser of the year, was held on September 17th, from 5:30-7:30 pm at Texas de Brazil located in Northfield Stapleton.  We raised thousands of dollars in support of the Denver area CASA Chapters and our Philanthropy Fund!
